Explain whether this is a house, condo or apartment in a shared building. Include affected rooms, floors and common spaces. A price for one apartment does not establish the price for an entire duplex or triplex.
How long have you noticed signs? Are they in one room or several places? Mention previous interventions and areas that are difficult to access. These details help define the request before a price is discussed.
Check the number of visits and follow-up arrangements. Sealing an opening, replacing damaged material or investigating a drain may be separate work. Confirm what is included in the quote.
Two prices can cover different services. Before choosing, ask for these points in writing:
Find the signs to look for and the questions relevant to the pest you have noticed.
Droppings, damaged packaging or movement behind the walls.
Sightings indoors, damage or activity around the building.
Suspected bed bugs around sleeping and resting areas.
Recurring insects in kitchens, bathrooms or near appliances.
Ant trails in kitchens, along baseboards or near entrances.
Large ants, wood shavings or activity near damp timber.
Fast-moving silver insects in bathrooms and storage spaces.
Sluggish flies gathering at windows or returning seasonally.
Suspected fleas around floors, furnishings or pet resting areas.
Recurring webs or spider activity inside and around the home.
Moths, beetles or larvae in cupboards and stored dry food.
We do not publish a single flat rate. To request a price for your property, include the suspected pest, property type, affected spaces and neighbourhood. The amount and included work need to be confirmed for your enquiry.
Ask for these to be listed in the quote. Do not assume that a price includes an on-site assessment, multiple visits, entry-point sealing or a guarantee. The included services and their terms should be clear.
A photo can help discuss identification, but it does not show every affected space. Include the property layout, how long you have noticed signs and available access. A property assessment may be needed to define the work.
Say that you rent, explain which floor you live on and note activity in common areas. Inform the person responsible for the building and clarify who will authorise the work, arrange access and receive the quote.
